The first product created by the MEHENKER company were the VANOS seal kits (also known as VANOS seals or VANOS O-rings) for variable valve timing systems in the BMW’s six-cylinder engines with the following designations: M50TU, M52, M52TU and M54. These units are known for their high durability and reliability. Unfortunately, a significant part of them, after years of use, experience problems, where the main cause of which - is the wear of the piston seals inside the VANOS mechanism. The original BMW seals are made of obsolete, less resistant material, which hardens and crack  over time, under the influence of prolonged exposure to high temperatures and engine oil. The situation is not facilitated by the fact, that BMW does not plan to repair it’s systems, offering only the replacement of the entire component with a new one. It’s not hard to guess, the price of the suggested solution is very high.

The MEHENKER kits contain special double piston seals, consisting of an O-ring made of Viton elastomer and a plastic ring made of Teflon. Viton is resistant to high temperatures and remains flexible in practically all conditions. Teflon, on the other hand, is known for its very low coefficient of friction.
