The main cause of the adjuster failure in this engine is the wear of the brass sleeve due to contact with the sealing rings.

This sleeve is responsible for supplying oil to cam phaser. Its failure leads to damage to the timing system of the engine.

Therefore, during repair, in addition to regeneration of the phaser, we also add:

  • reinforced MEHENKER mounting sleeve (OEM no. 206805 or 206804)
  • super durable MEHENKER sealing rings (OEM no. 246965 or 214742)
